Ja! Het is zomer en dan moet je gewoon een cd hebben die zit als een zomerjurkje. Luchtig, meisjesachtig, vol bloemen, speels en een beetje sexy. ‘God help the girl’ heeft het allemaal in huis.

Het is een project van ‘Belle & Sebastian’ – Stuart Murdoch, en ja, dat is hoorbaar. Verder is het een nogal prestigieus project; het moet uiteindelijk een musical film worden en aan het project werkten meer dan 80 muzikanten mee, waaronder een symfonie orkest.

Vooralsnog is ‘God help the girl’ vooral een heerlijke cd geworden en daar gaat het toch eigenlijk om!
